Billy Roback

Billy Roback was born and raised here in Shiawassee County and is a member of the Perry High School class of 1975. He had lived in New Mexico and traveled throughout the American West for more than 37 years. While living in the southwest Billy enjoyed exploring historical monuments, national forests and cultural centers throughout New Mexico, Texas, Colorado and Arizona. Billy served a park Docent for the Living Desert State Park in Carlsbad New Mexico. A large park and zoo that displays native plants, fauna, native American artifacts and provides an is home to animals native to the region.

Billy and his wife, Monica, returned to Michigan in 2018 and settled in his home town of Perry. They have one daughter a son-in-law and a granddaughter who still reside in New Mexico. They enjoy old homes and barns, Michigan historical places, automobiles old or new, cooking, gardening and their dogs. Both Billy and Monica are active with the Perry Historical Society and Calkins/Macqueen Home. Together they enjoy managing many of the the activities including restorations, holiday events and a summer market.

Terry Schanski

Teresa Schanski has resided in Perry or Perry Township for 58 years. She is a retired elementary school teacher and a published Michigan author. Teresa and her husband, David Schanski, both graduated from Perry High School (1967) and raised up four sons: Blake, Tate, Drew, and Shane, also Perry High School graduates.  Her Great Grandmother Hattie Sanborn Dean and Grandmother Blanche Dean Jackson also are graduates of Perry High School.
